Corduroy is a timeless fabric and being very hardwearing will give it great longevity both in wear and style. 4.5 wales means that there are 4.5 width way columns or ‘wales’ per inch of fabric. This fabric is perfect for wide leg trousers, dungarees, jackets and pinafores. For pattern inspiration, you could check out the Ilford Jacket or the September overcoat.
