The PANEL dress is a long dress and its defining feature is the panels on both sides. The dress has long ties on both sides for an adjustable and comfortable fit. The front pieces feature darts; if you haven't made darts before, one of the videos in the manual will guide you through. In the back, the dress has a keyhole opening and a long slit in the lower center back.

We have added topstitches as a design feature to the dress so you can also make the dress without topstitches.

The PANEL dress fits all Puff and Pencil’s sleeves for blouses and dresses as well as Puff and Pencil’s round neck collars.

Fabric recommendations and fabric usage

The pattern is designed for woven fabrics. If you want a crisp look, choose a fabric that doesn't drape too softly. For a more elegant and feminine look, opt for a fabric with a nice drape. If you are unsure about which fabric to choose, fabrics such as poplin, woven viscose, and cotton twill all work well for this dress.
