Croissant Queen by Hey Sew Sister - Double-Sided Quilted Cotton
Sold by the half metre.
Croissant Queen is a cute double-sided quilted cotton fabric designed by me exclusively for Hey Sew Sister! After enjoying pre-quilted fabrics a lot this A/W, I decided to have a go at designing my first quilted fabrics. I wanted this fabric to capture the essence of Hey Sew Sister and that is why you will see croissants, bows, polka dots and tartan :) This design features a directionless green and blue croissant print on the “main” side and a tartan/plaid on the reverse. The difference between the sides is that on the main side the stitching is a clean single thread and on the reverse it is a thicker, bobbin thread. Both sides however are perfect to use for you project :)
Digitally printed cotton fabric quilted together with cotton batting. Quilted with a narrow vertical stripe pattern, approximately 1.5cm wide. Expect some minor irregularities and imperfections with the quilting. It is manually machine-quilted by humans. This fabric is ideal for light jackets, trousers and jumpers.
✨Pattern Ideas ✨ Block Party Pants by Fluid plus Drape x Neighbourhood Patterns, The Sidney Sweatshirt by Merchant & Mills, Homebody Quilted Jacket by Matchy Matchy Sewing Club, Coquillage Wrap Quilted Jacket Pattern by Camimade,Wildwood Jacket and Vest by Helen’s Closet
100% Cotton (including wadding).
Ranges approx. 100-110cm wide. (Quilted with 110cm fabric but factoring in width shrinkage and selvedge irregularities from quilting process).
Approx. 275gsm.
Care - It is recommended that quilted screen and block printed cotton fabrics are treated delicately. They should be washed at low (cold if possible) temperature, maximum 30 degrees C, and on a short cycle. Use non-bio detergent only. Gentle spin cycle only. Air dry only (do not tumble dry).
